Understanding Results
Once you've provided your
stool sample, your healthcare professional will perform the iFOB test.
If your results are positive,
your healthcare professional will most likely suggest additional testing
that will help to pinpoint why there is blood in your stool. Since there
are many reasons why you could have blood in your stool, a positive
result does not necessarily mean that you have colorectal cancer. A
negative result does not guarantee the absence of colorectal cancer.
Make sure you discuss with your physician any questions you have about
your results.
